If you have been quite the environmentalist, then you would be very happy to note that this year’s O2 Wireless Festival is going to go quite along without you using up too much paper. You see, all you need is your mobile phone and that would be your ticket to the event.

You would also be needing your mobile phone for other perks. That is, if such plans do go through. According to the organizers, they are working out a system wherein all you need is to swipe your mobile phone on some screens and you can get some drinks, download all those files you fancy, as well as send some interesting information to those new-found friends.

Stuart Galbrait is the managing director for Live Nation, the organizer of the event, and on these plans, he expresses, “Mobile phones have become even more integral to people’s lives, providing a host of information readily available at their fingertips. Mobile ticketing provides the consumer with an effective tool to prevent ticket touting and above all else is an environmentally friendly way to enjoy their favorite concert.â€?
