Nokia’s “Remade” concept

The Remade concept phone has a case made from recycled aluminium cans, old plastic bottles and car tyres for the rubber keys. Nokia boss Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo showed the phone off yesterday at the Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, which our mates at CNET.co.uk have been covering first-hand.
The Finns’ design was created to see if it was possible to make a phone “from nothing new”, though the chipset and electronics inside clearly wouldn’t be made from old tin cans. On the plus side, it is designed with energy saving in mind. The engineers behind it claim to have designed a way of cutting the power used to back-light the screen, which is usually responsible for over half a phone’s battery use.

You see, the Nokia concept phone has potential of being a phone to use in the future, but the ugly casing that is around it just makes it look Shrek ugly. The creators need to go out with a more flash red or black. Making it any color besides puke green will do the trick, but I guess thats what you get for being the best of the technology world (You choose the color & design)
Some say it looks a communication transmitter from the Star Trek series, but I say it looks like a Power Ranger morpher, maybe I’m just biased.
Regardless, the phone is yet to come out, but there are people ostensibly waiting for Nokia’s release as it will be a good one, assuming they let people have it in different colors. I have a Nokia, myself, and it works absolutely wonderful, but its not like I paid any money for it, it was the free one you got with the plan. Thats the thing with phones, you really don’t need them to go on the internet or anything else. I can see a phone playing music, but besides that its really over accessorized.
By watching this video you’ll notice (or if you didn’t I’ll just say it here
) that the flip phone seems to be really floppy. The one I have right now is not so floppy, and thats the way it should be. But as you can also notice, the phone color is not going to make that big of a difference as its really even hard to see the green on the bottom portions of the phone. So, whether this phone will come out soon or not is the real question. How many of you would actually think about purchasing a phone such as this?
