Nokia Sets Roots in India
It is high time that Nokia set forth in another direction and took advantage of emerging mobile phone markets while other mobile phone makers are busy trying to outbid each other with the latest technologies. But for Nokia, what they are doing is that they are setting up base in one of the world’s emerging strong mobile phone markets and this country is India.
The company has just set up shop for a new mobile phone design facility and this can be found in Bangalore, India. And by doing such, experts in the industry are already seeing Nokia take the larger share of the market.
And the people are Nokia are pretty happy about this. “Design is not just about the look and feel of the handset but equally important is what it can do for people and how it fits into their lives. Designers must be exposed to how people live and work in different places around the world,� expressed Hannu Nieminen who works as the head for innovations at the newly opened Nokia Design.
