Market Research Says Filipinos Okay With Mobile Phone Ads

A recent study was done in the Filipino mobile phone market and the results did show that Filipinos are quite okay with having advertisements sent to their mobile phones. This study has been done by the Smart Communications, one of the leading providers of mobile phone services in the country.
The head of the company’s wireless consumer division, Bong Mojica, also did disclose that currently, mobile phone subscribers have already been receiving messages bearing advertisements. These include promotions, raffles, give-aways, tips, and discounts among many others.
The mobile phone service provider’s statistics and data also did show that Filipinos who use mobile phones find free calls, free load (or airtime), and downloads the most interesting. And most Filipinos are quite ready to disclose personal information to get the mentioned freebies.
On this, Mojica explained, “The mobile has become the single most powerful platform for directly communicating on a personal level with consumers.�
