James Bond gets a new phone (among other cool gadgets)

A paparazzi photo of new James Bond actor, Daniel Craig on the set of ‘Casino Royale’ showed the dapper new Bond holding a mean-looking machine gun on one hand and a white candy bar phone on the other. It has already been announced that Bond will be using a Nokia 8800 Aston Martin Edition but the white candy bar phone turns out to bear a close resemblance to the Sony Ericsson K618. Bond’s phone of choice doesn’t come as a surprise since Sony Pictures now owns the Bond series after taking over MGM, and a product placement on one of the most anticipated movies today is an excellent marketing strategy.

Other gadgets and products appearing on the movie include a Sony Vaio notebook with 13.3 inch widescreenm Persol 2244S sunglasses, Planet Ocean Seamaster watch from Omega and the classic Bond car, the Aston Martin DB5.
