Is Your Nokia Battery For Recall?

Last week, Nokia has sent out word that they are recalling 46 million of their batteries. That is why the company is now asking all owners of Nokia units to check their batteries if such are included in the recall. The cause for the recall? Nokia is saying that the mobile phone batteries are prone to overheating when they are being recharged.
There is no need to worry though for the company is going to replace the affected batteries. Also, Nokia sent out word saying that “no serious injuries or property damage have been reported however when a battery overheats, it is very much likely that it could damage the unit that it is on. Thus the need for replacement.
The model code for the batteries affected is BL-5C and it was created by Matsushita, one of the giant electronics companies in Japan. These batteries were created in between December 2005 up until November of 2006.
