What if there was a school that handed out iPhone’s to students who attended their college or University. Well, hey, it looks like Abilene Christian University is already doing this to encourage students to go to their colleges. Heck, I would go to this college just to get the iPhone and then maybe drop out a few days after recieving the iPhone. I’m sure this is not how this works, I’m sure there is more that you have to do to fully get the iPhone at the college.

Apparently, the college is using iPhones to send out reminders and text messages remind students about the upcoming events in college as well as taking in class surveys to access the students knowledge database. I wish our college would do that, but there is no way that is going to happen. Unless Steve Jobs feels like giving out iPhones to us for free, (which he is less likely to do than cheerios), its never going to happen.

However, I could see an inconvenience in this is gratification. What if they decided to take attendance with the iPhones, maybe there is some way they can right now that they are just not telling us, which could be bad news to the students at Abilene will or could potentially face. At times like these, it is best to look at how far technology has brought us and forget about its inconveniences.
