Filipinos More Dependent On Mobile Phones

The Philippines is a country wherein quite a huge portion of the entire populations owns a mobile phone or two. And this is also a country where you can find quite a number of SMS being sent to and fro in just a minute.
That’s how great Filipinos have come to depend on their mobile phones. And that is backed up by a study done by Synovate, a firm who does market research. The company did continue to say that for most Filipinos, mobile phones are what they use for communication.
The study was done in Metro Manila. Here are some of the results from the study:
- 70% own and use mobile phones on a regular basis
- most use mobile phones to send SMS and not for making calls
- 25% disclosed that they used the gadget to take photos, send them, download songs, and share other files
- almost 90% said that they have pre-paid accounts with an average bill of 470php
