Energizer Bunny Wants To Juice Up Your Phone, iPod
Devices like the Turbo Charge have been around a while, to give road warriors a couple extra hours of talk time when they haven’t been able to give their cell phones a charge.
Now Energizer is getting into the game with Energi To Go instant cell phone chargers. These portable power packs use two lithium AA batteries and promise you enough power to make a phone call within 30 seconds after connecting to your phone. They’ll offer enough different phone tip connectors to cover 100 different models which they say can hook into 80 percent of the cell phone brands in the U.S.
While they’re at it, Energizer is also making a larger Power Pack version that uses four lithium AA batteries that will power iPods; plus a gaming version that will power PlayStation portables, Game Boys and Nintendos.
The phone chargers will retail for $20, the iPod and gaming power packs will retail for $30. Batteries included. For now, keep your batteries charged; these new power packs won’t be available until around Labor Day.
