Asus P835

Asus P835

Asus’ out-of-nowhere P835 smartphone is packing some pretty decent specs, from an 800×480 touchscreen to HSPA support for lightning-fast downloads, but it’s still packing Windows Mobile 6.1. Still, it’s worth a look.

Asus calls it, “PDA phone.” The potent P835 is designed with multimedia and Web lovers in mind, bringing with it an eye-popping 3.5 inch touch panel that features a practically unheard of WVGA resolution. That’s 800 x 480, on a cellphone!

Additionally, the new Glide interface promises to be the “most innovative, intuitive and interactive mobile user interface available today,” though it’s really just a skin over the pre-loaded Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. Users will have access to 12-key, half-Qwerty and full-Qwerty virtual keyboard modes, and the Qualcomm 7201A (528MHz) processor should handle most tasks with ease. Other specifications include an 1100mAh battery — which is good for 6 hours of 3G talk time, 7 hours of 2G talk time and between 300 - 350 hours in standby — 4GB of internal storage, 288MB of SDRAM, 256MB of ROM, a MicroSDHC expansion slot and 802.11b/g WiFI. There’s also Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, USB 2.0 and Assisted GPS built-in, and Opera Mobile is also pre-installed for better browsing.

Here’s the rundown:

• HSPA (DL: 7.2Mbps, UL: 2Mbps), UMTS 900/1900/2100
EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900, Class 12
• Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.1
• 3.5″ WVGA (800×480), no word on resistive or capacitive
• 4 GB internal storage plus MicroSDHC slot
• WiFi and Bluetooth 2.0

Asus U6

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Asus is starting to be a big company. Along with its first set of laptops being the smallest screen laptops that I have ever heard of, it is now making some respectable laptops that will start comparing to Apple and Microsoft.

Personally, I just want them to beat the Apple products because they are way cheaper than the Apple products. Not to say that Microsoft’s products aren’t cheap, because there are not, I just know that Apple has the potential to cost more than anything that Microsoft has made thus far.

Endgadget has done a good deal with this Asus U6 not to mention the fact that they get the actual computers to play with before than can post on it.

As a professional blogging site such as that, I don’t think they are wrong in what they post or do, but depending on the type of machine that it is, it will be in my bests interests to either stay away or love to death.

As you can tell, this machine looks pretty slick. Almost as sleek as the HP Pavilion dv2700 series. It has in it a 3GB RAM, 2.6 Processor, and also 250 GB Hard drive. I am unsure as to what other features lay upon the model, but it looks like a decent model to invest upon.

I know it shouldn’t matter what it looks like, but right now it does. The type of material used to make the complete oustide of the laptop looks really shiny, but is definitely in the wrong color. Its a type of coal color that makes you think that you are living in Colorado, or some coal mining state. :P

No offense to Colorado, they probably don’t even coal mine there. :P

Asus Laptops

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Well, its a little late to be talking about these now, but considering the whole deal about this site not having a constant writer since November, or whenever it was, posting about the Asus can never get too old.

Well here it is, the Asus Limited Edition Vista Branded Laptop. I know that Engadget does a lot with the versatility of this Laptop, but I do not think it has ever been mentioned that Asus came out with a Vista Branded Laptop. Limited Edition, mind you :!: Very Special indeed. :D

However, this tablet laptop supports what all tablet-PC’s support, and that would be the accessibility to use the laptop as a tablet.

You can write on it. You can draw on it. You can flip the screen over to watch movies without having to see the laptop keyboard.

The AsusTEK is a chinese branded computer company that makes things from motherboards to PDA’s to Mobile Phones to Computer Cases to Laptops. Of course, Asus is known mainly for their ability to make the legendary 7 in laptop. Although the specs of this model do not compare to any of the modern named laptops such as Toshiba, Sony, HP, or even Dell, its portability covers for all that is missing.

Unlike some high cost laptops, this laptop is suitable for anyone, whether it be a laid-off singer, or the 4 year old making billions in the U.K. Of course, the only adjustment one has to make with the Asus laptops is that since the keyboards are smaller, typing on the 7 inch laptop will be quite irritating.

I couldn’t imagine having at 7 inch laptop because right now I have a 13 in, and that is starting to be too small already. Of course, when looking at how far technology has brought us, admiring the Asus 7 inch is a sight worth seeing.

Enjoying the scenery yet?

How about now? :P
