Acer Blu-ray Laptops

Take a look at the size of that ! Well, there you have it, Acer is making 16-18.4 in. laptops now. They have completely introduced themselves passionately in the lines of computers, mostly laptops though. Come to think of it, I dont really think that Acer makes desktop computers. But let you have it, they make the smallest 7 in. laptops ever. Now, they are going on the other side of the boat to make the biggest laptops ever.
Although, I’m not sure what their incentive in making the biggest laptops was, I can assure you that there are people willing to buy those laptops, especially if they are packed and jacked. But one the biggest things about these laptops are their cd drives, according to engadget, they are coming with the Blu-Ray drives built into them.
See, there is the resolution to the HD DVD & Blu-Ray, just buy a Acer 18.4 in. laptop. The only worry I have about this big of a laptop is its portability. What is the point of having such a big machine if it will not have the highest computation requirements. However, not all of us need those kinds of things, but its something to think about when purchasing computers.
So, what does you think?
Is it better to just get a desktop computer, or purchase less portable laptop with a bigger screen than you really need for a laptop? I suppose the choice is yours, just like the force… what you say

The biggest purchasing mistake I ever made was taking an Acer home. Sure it is packed with features, but the hardware itself is flimsy and Acer’s repair service is a nightmare. I sent mine back to the factory three times for repairs before I gave up.
I will never, ever buy another Acer.

Personally, I favor Toshiba or Sony, but currently I have an HP which is not bad for a laptop that has 3 GB of RAM memory right?
I’m thinking about getting an Asus EEE PC, 10in. maybe, its not that expensive, but I dont know.
